Does CBD make you high?

CBD is short for Cannabidiol. It is a natural compound found in the hemp plant. Let’s get one thing straight – CBD does not mean marijuana or weed! Marijuana contains high levels of the ingredient THC the thing that gets you high as the sky, and low levels of CBD. Hemp on the other hand has little to no THC, but high CBD content, so it does not get you high.

How does CBD work?

When consumed, CBD binds to receptors located throughout your body resulting in different effects throughout your body.

Thousands of studies, as well as millions of CBD users, have shown that taking it potentially has health-related benefits such as reducing inflammation and easing the symptoms of anxiety, PTSD, and insomnia. It’s almost like…a gift from Mother Nature.

What is it used for?

CBD gained a lot of popularity in the 2010s when it was given to children with severe epilepsy. There’s currently one prescription medicine on the market called Epidiolex, an FDA approved drug to help children who suffer from the condition. It has since been shown to possible other benefits that can help even the average person get relief from day to day life discomfort.

CBD is popular with those who suffer from aches and pains such as lower back, shoulder, or neck pain. Topical products like lotions are great for pain, but a combination of lotion and consumable products are even better.

CBD is also popular with those who suffer from anxiety-related conditions. We aren’t 100% sure how it works on the mental health, but we do know is people have claimed that it changed their life. It definitely changed mine. With a growing number of people suffering from anxiety, CBD has made a big name for itself, and for the right reasons!

How do you take it?

CBD comes in various forms like ingestible oils, tasty gummies for easy on go doses, softgels for fast acting, and lotions for soothing muscle stiffness. Oil strength can vary from as little as 200 mg all the way to 10,000 mg! I don’t believe it’s necessary to spend money on 10,000 mg CBD. Chances are that there really isn’t as much as they say is in the container.

How much should I take?

The best way to determine what strength works best for you is simply trial and error. Everyone has different body compositions and thus react differently to a range of concentrations. You should start with at least a 1000 mg oil (1 ounce bottle). Taking less than 1000 mg may not give you the results you’re looking for.

Dispense 1/4 to 1/2 dropper full directly into your mouth once in the morning everyday for 2-3 weeks. Then, work your way up to 1 full dropper every morning, then perhaps 1 full dropper morning and night everyday. You’ll definitely notice a difference when you find that sweet spot. I personally do 1 dropper full (1.0 ml) of Lime 1350mg CBD oil right under my tongue every morning. Tip: we don’t recommend you add the oil with food or drink as this can disrupt the integrity of the molecule.

If you prefer chewables, try 1 gummy each morning. Then try taking 2 gummies each morning if you think you could use more. Pets who suffer from pain or general anxiety can also take CBD. we recommend you consult with your vet before giving your dog CBD. Nature’s Candy offers yummy beef flavored CBD dog treats, because we love dogs!

Will it replace my medication?

CBD is not for everyone and should never replace physician-prescribed medication. You should always consult your doctor before trying it. I will say this though, it’s a natural ingredient and has helped millions of people. So if anything, it’s worth a try!
